Students from 20 schools across the East Midlands will travel to Corby Business Academy to take part in a foreign language Spelling Bee next week.
A team of CBA students will compete against students from the visiting schools to spell the most words in French, Spanish and German correctly in the Routes Into Languages Spelling Bee, which will take place on Wednesday (March 6th).
Students who perform the best at the Spelling Bee will go forward to compete in the competition’s national final in Cambridge.
CBA’s Director of Modern Foreign Languages, Karen Turney, said: “It is a great honour to be hosting the East Midlands regional final of the competition again. Last year there were 10 schools and this year the competition will be even bigger, with 21 schools competing.
“We had a class competition and an inter-class competition within CBA and from the inter-class competition we have got four finalists and one reserve who will represent the school.”
