It was commented that their dances were performed so beautifully and elegantly. She received some amazing feedback from judges and walked away with the winning title in this spectacular fundraising event. 

Miss Mullen was originally a student when the Academy first opened in 2008 and enjoyed studying dance with the support of Mrs. Dickinson. She re-joined the Academy a couple of years later to work in our fantastic Unit provision.

As a contestant, she was tasked with raising £2,000 for the charity as well as learning three dances with her professional partner to perform on the night to compete for the glitterball trophy! She managed to raise a fantastic £4,830.30 and the collective fundraising amount was over an incredible £42,000!

Lakelands Hospice provides specialist palliative care and support services for people living with cancer and heart failure. Their aim is to enhance the quality of life for those in need and their loved ones at a time of crisis and beyond in an environment that provides tranquility, support and care.
