Stevie is known to the Academy as our resident drummer in our infamous Concert Band. She has performed for the Academy in a variety of performances and events. 

However, she is also a talented singer and guitarist. Having started singing at a very early age, she has self-taught herself the guitar over the past eighteen months by googling chords. 

We are thrilled that she has now released her first single on Spotify. Taking inspiration from reading 'Great Expectations', her single 'Miss Havisham' was written from the perspective of the character. Portrayed as a gothic and wicked character, Miss Havisham is actually very lonely and isolated, suffering from  trauma and very much frozen on her wedding day. 

We are looking forward to her next song due to be released in the next few weeks entitled 'Not Mad About It'. It will be available on Spotify first and then all streaming platforms. Her aspiration is to perform at large venues with people around the world singing the lyrics to her songs. Stevie is currently writing more songs and her supportive parents are looking to set up a home studio so that she can truly follow her dream.
