Energetic Author Gets Students Thinking About History
A children’s author who questions what the world would be like if the course of history had been different proved to be inspirational when he visited CBA.
Alex Scarrow, who writes the popular Time Riders series, spoke to Year 7s about how even small events in history had such a big effect on our lives now.
He discussed his books and the process of writing them as well as emphasising the importance of writing.
Alex (pictured) used to be a computer game designer and he explained to the year group how he weaved ideas for games into his books.
He finished with a general knowledge quiz in the style of Who Wants to be a Millionaire?
Librarian Amy McKay said: "The students were completely entranced. Alex was a really excitable speaker and he was really good fun."
