New After-School Sign Language Club
Students will be able to learn sign language thanks to a new club that starts next term.
Science Teacher Zoe Bird is starting a British Sign Language Club for Years 7 and 8, which will be held on Mondays from 4pm to 4.50pm in PL3.
Students will learn basic conversational skills to be able to talk to a hearing impaired person.
Those who can successfully perform a basic British Sign Language conversation at the end of Term 6 will receive a certificate.
They can also gain credits towards the Children's University award.
CBA now has more than 50 after-school clubs each week, including softball, street dance, Spanish club, dodgeball and photography.
