Test For Students With A Flair For Maths
Students will be sitting a high level maths test next month.
About 20 students will be sitting the UK Mathematics Trust’s Intermediate Mathematical Challenge on February 2nd.
The paper consists of 25 questions which must be answered in an hour under normal exam conditions.
The selected students will be preparing during Session 4 for the exam which will test the knowledge they have accumulated during lesson time and ask them to apply it to different situations.
The UK Mathematics Trust runs a series of challenges to encourage students’ interest in the subject and develop their skills.
A group of Year 8 and 9 students will also be selected to take part in the Team Mathematical Challenge, which takes place in April.
The test is a team event and will take place in Northampton.
