Year 8 students got a taste of what studying GCSE Geography would be like during a trip to Cadbury World last week.
A group of 39 students went on the trip to the chocolate manufacturing plant in Bournville, Birmingham.
It was organised as a taster for students thinking of choosing Geography as one of their GCSE options.
During the trip students learned about how cocoa is imported from Africa to the UK and what the working conditions are like for workers in Ghana and in Bourneville.
Maxine Hopewell, who organised the trip, said: “They had a look around the whole factory and the processing plant. They got to see Cadbury’s Fruit and Nut being made and packaged and another of the Cadbury chocolate bars being packaged.”
