CBA staff and students raised a fantastic £1,300 for Comic Relief on Friday (March 15th).

A non-uniform day was held, with students paying £1 to come in in their own clothes. Students were urged to wear an item of red clothing to link to Comic Relief.

Cakes were sold in the restaurant to raise money and were sold out within 45 minutes.

Throughout the day staff and students were also able to buy raffle tickets. The prizes included bowling tickets, theatre tickets, a Red Nose Day dinosaur cake, Rockingham Speedway tickets, beauty vouchers and more.

Head Girl and Chair of the Fundraising Committee, Ellie Mae Moore, said: “It was so nice to see everyone getting involved and participating in supporting other people to give them a better lifestyle around the world.

“I would like to thank the fundraising committee for all their help in the run up to the day and throughout. Also a big thank you to the sixth form helpers, Morium Akter, Andile Chiwuta, Alex Pereira and Nathan Chen, and Year 11 helpers Chantelle Lawson, Nick Galway and Carolanne Hales, for their help with manning the stalls.

“We couldn't have made the day run as smoothly as it did without their help.”
