Project is To Dye For

Students have been working on a project To Dye For during their latest textiles course.
Year 8 students have been hard at work making fabric cases and then using the skills they have learned to design and create their very own range of tie dye tops.
As well as learning how to apply colour to their tops for the To Dye For project they have also had to manipulate the tops in some way.
Some students have trimmed the sleeves off, others have created a scooped neck, some of the tops have tassles and others have butterflies stitched on them.
Textiles teacher Abbie Parsons said: “The students have worked really hard and there are some very good tops.
“I think they have enjoyed this project because at the end of it they have something they can take home which is wearable.”
