A group of Year 11 students are celebrating after receiving top grades for their maths GCSE.
The students took their final exam in November and have just learned that they amassed a total of nine A* grades, 29 A grades and 8 B grades.
It is hoped some of the students will go on to study for their maths A-S Level this year to prepare them for the Sixth Form.
Lead practitioner Paul Wilson said: “I couldn’t be happier for the students.
“I’ve worked with some of them since Year 8 so it’s been a long journey building up to this point.
“They have put in a lot of hard work, including in Session 4.
“The top grades are not given away – they have to be earned.
“I hope some of the students will go on to start their A-S Level this year.”
