Our staff and students have raised more than £900 for Sport Relief.
The Academy’s Fundraising Committee held a day of fundraising activities for the charity at the end of last term.
The event included a cake sale, a sweepstake, a sale of official Sport Relief merchandise and students could wear their own clothes for the day in exchange for a donation.
In total the Academy raised £919.26.
Year 13 student Ellie Mae Moore, who is chair of the Academy’s Fundraising Committee, said: “We are thrilled to have raised so much money for Sport Relief.
“The Fundraising Committee worked very hard to make sure the day would be a success and we were delighted with the support we received from staff and students.”
The money raised by the Academy will help Sport Relief to fund life-changing projects in the UK and abroad.
