Students win medals during fishing trip

Our Unit students learned about fishing and the countryside during an event in East Northamptonshire.

Our Unit students learned about fishing and the countryside during an event in East Northamptonshire.

Our students joined pupils from Tresham College and Wren Spinney School for a day out in Ringstead with MTSFC – the Masonic Fishing Charity.

The charity organises fishing events for students with special needs to give them the chance to improve their confidence, meet new challenges and achieve tangible results.

CBA Special Needs Teacher Nikki Clark said: “The students were great. They all did very well, especially as it was a wet day.”

Six of our eight students who took part in the event caught at least one trout.

All the students received certificates for participating and medals were awarded to Liam Smith for biggest fish, Ethan Hollerbach for best retriever and James Stuart for perseverance.
