Excitement builds for second Curriculum Day
Preparations are under way for Corby Business Academy’s second Curriculum Day.
Preparations are under way for Corby Business Academy’s second Curriculum Day.
The Academy staged its first Curriculum Day earlier this year and it proved to be a huge hit with students and staff.
Curriculum Day is designed to give students the chance to take a break from regular lessons for a few hours so they can try out new activities.
Assistant Principal Jenny Tomlin said: “The first Curriculum Day was a massive success.
“There was a real buzz around the school and the real triumph was the fact that students from different year groups supported one another in a variety of challenging tasks.
“The activities were designed to enable the students to develop team-building skills and problem solving abilities.”
Staff held a meeting to put the finishing touches to the programme of events for the day which will be held on Tuesday 24th June.
It will include forensic detection sessions, outdoor team building tasks, a Second World War project, a film and communication session and a fashion event.
