Work Experience Webinar - Wednesday 3rd May, 7.00 p.m.

My Great First Job is holding a webinar aimed at Year 12 students to help them ensure they get the work experience they really want.

Our Year 12 students have just attended a launch presentation about Work Experience in which they will all be expected to take part in a one week Work Experience Placement between 3rd July - 14th July 2023 of which a letter containing more details will be released in due course.

To support this, My Great First Job has an upcoming 60 minutes webinar on Wednesday 3rd May 2023, which contains practical advice to help young people connect with employers and find a great work experience placement.

The webinar is not compulsory but students may find this useful to attend to support them in looking for a placement.

The webinar will cover:

💥 How to use social media to develop a network

💥 What your parents / relatives can do to help you

💥 Why your 'adult network' is key...and who is in it?

💥 How to demonstrate to an employer that you're serious about their work

💥 An email template you can use to contact employers

💥 Why developing 'relationships' is your key to getting people to help you

💥 How to prepare to get the most from your work experience
