Free Careers Presentation on finding a first job - Wednesday 27th September

My Great First Job is holding a free careers presentation based on helping students to find their first job. The event will be held on Wednesday 27th September from 6.30 - 7.30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn, Corby, Geddington Road, Corby, NN18 8ET

My Great First Job is a non-profit organisation, based in Northamptonshire that helps young people navigate their way from education to employment.

This in-person presentation picks out the key points - the highlights - from all of the career talks and webinars we run online and in schools right across the UK.

The event will include:

  • How to make sure your first CV really works for you
  • How to really prepare for an interview
  • What else to bring to employers besides your qualifications
  • How to develop a network of people that can help you
  • Great questions to ask at interviews
  • How to use social media to help you stand out

The session is completely free of charge thanks to funding from North Northants Council.

Parents and carers are encouraged to come along with their child to get their career started.

The session is aimed at young people in school years 11-13 + recent school/college leavers as well as their parent/s or carer/s.

Here's the link to reserve your place - you'll need to book as numbers are limited to the room size.
