Dear Parent/Carer

RE: Magistrates’ Court Mock Trial Competition: Regional Heat

As you know, your child is taking part in the Regional Heat of the Magistrates’ Court Mock Trial Competition as part of a project to develop legal education at the school with the Citizenship Foundation.

The heat will take place on Saturday 11^th May 2013 at Chelmsford Crown Court. We will be travelling to the court by minibus. We will leave CBA no later than 7am as we need to be in Chelmsford by 9.15am.

I estimate that we will arrive back at The Academy by 4pm. Please provide me with a contact telephone number on the reply slip so that you can be contacted if the time of arrival changes. Can you also indicate whether you would like to collect your child from school or if they can make their own way home.

Students will need to wear the clothes that match their part in the trial. They also need to bring a packed lunch and plenty of drinks as food will not be available for them to buy on the day.

Please complete and return the reply slip attached by Wednesday 8^th May 2013.  Your child will not be able to participate in the heat if I do not receive this information.
