August 2012 Business Specialism Letter - A Allan
![]() August 2012
Dear Parents/Carers
Encouraging businesses to work with schools provides an opportunity to help develop the workforce of the future. Learning from the world of business not only adds knowledge, but helps keep up to date with the latest innovative ideas, best practise and most importantly brings business to life for our students.
To date, a number of parents have approached CBA with specialist knowledge in marketing, finance and sales etc. I believe this is an area that can be developed further to involve more parents to share their business expertise with our students.
CBA recognise that we have a large number of parents who have business expertise working at middle management and upwards and what better way to inspire our students than from our parent body.
Your involvement may be a one-off visit to support a classroom of no more than 25 student’s project or a planned programme. It can take 30 minutes or an hour of your time focusing on a specific topic e.g. HR, finance, marketing, sales, customer service etc.
If you are interested in sharing your expertise with our students please complete the slip below and return it for my attention: Alexandra Allan, Corby Business Academy Way, Gretton Road, Corby, Northamptonshire NN17 5EB or alternatively rhenderson@corbybusinessacademy.org.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully
Alexandra Allan Teacher of Business Studies/Young Enterprise Link Teacher
