April 2015 - Transport Info for PROSPECTIVE SIXTH FORM STUDENT -
RE: PROSPECTIVE SIXTH FORM STUDENT -
As September draws closer, it is important to consider transportation options to the Academy. As discussed at our open evenings, there are a number of transport options available to post-sixteen students. These options are outlined below:
1. Public transport. Stagecoach provides an extensive service throughout Corby, dropping off outside the main Academy gates at the start and the end of the school day. Bus timetables/fares can be found at http://www.stagecoachbus.com/localdefault.aspx?Tag=Corby and up to date versions will be provided during Sixth Form induction. Centrebus also run a service to and from Gretton. There are a range of bus passes available and considerable savings can be made should you take advantage of the schemes available to students.
2. Northamptonshire County Council transport. This is the bus service which provides transportation to the majority of our younger students. The service is available at a cost to post-sixteen students. Please read the guidance and complete the enclosed pink application form if you wish to apply for an NCC bus pass. This paperwork must be returned to NCC not Corby Business Academy by 29th May 2015.
Both options allow the cost to be split over the academic year and can be covered by the Post-Sixteen bursary should this be awarded.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries regarding transportation.
