Our mathematics curriculum is designed to develop resilient, curious learners who can think logically, reason effectively and confidently tackle unfamiliar problems. We aim to build students’ ability to persevere, reflect on mistakes, and approach challenges with confidence. At the heart of this is a carefully sequenced, knowledge-rich curriculum from Year 7 to Year 13, which builds securely on prior learning and prioritises long-term understanding over short-term performance. Core concepts are introduced early and revisited through meaningful connections, allowing students to develop a deep, conceptual grasp of mathematics. The curriculum aims to secure opportunities for all students beyond school — equipping them with essential problem-solving, reasoning and numeracy skills needed for further study, the workplace, and everyday life. Alongside this, students are exposed to the real-world applications and beauty of mathematics, fostering curiosity and a sense of wonder. Our students are regularly challenged to think hard, reason mathematically, and communicate their ideas clearly. Through this, we develop young people who are analytical, inquisitive, and equipped to contribute confidently to the world around them.
